my favourite songs of the last 25 years(via coudal partners). a response to the vh-1 list of the top 100 songs. several people have compiled lists of their top 20 from the last 25 years. i tend to have a love/hate relationship with these sort of lists. i can't resist reading them, and find myself disappointed in what always seems to be missing. of course they are someone else's favourites, so why should i be disappointed? a few people have listed the go-go's version of our lips are sealed, am i the only one that prefers the fun boy three version? most of the bands listed seem to be american bands too, but then i guess you have to draw the line somewhere. hmm, maybe i should compile my own list.

speaking of music, here's a list of songs about libraries and librarians(via quiddity). nice to see coil wasn't overlooked. for some reason i expected to see the smiths in that list, maybe it just seems like they should of written a song about a library, but never did.
