today's taipei times has an interesting article on the german director monika treut. apparently monika has been working on two documentaries about taiwan. one of these profiles three women from different generations. one of the women(dj chen) is the director for a film about young gay men that came out recently(formula 17). i think it may of done fairly well here, but the trailers i saw didn't really make me want to see it even if it did screen with english subtitles. i'm more interested in the documentaries monika treut is doing. i'm hoping those will screen here at some point with english subtitles.
