yeserday peter and i went to guobing theater to see spiderman 2. i'm really loving the screen at guobing as it's huge. both peter and i dug the film more than the first one. i'm usually not big on pop songs in movies, but i was happy to hear raindrops keep falling on my head in the course of the film(peter parker being at his dorkiest during this scene added to the charm as well). the cameo by hal sparks was fun, especially since we've been watching queer as folk quite a bit lately. i'm still not sold on the cgi in the film. it was ok, but not great. when spiderman is jumping around, i can't help feeling like i'm not watching a movie but a cartoon.

before the film they showed the trailer for the new m. night shyamalan film the village. i didn't care for his last film very much, but that hasn't stopped me from being excited about seeing this one. it looks like it'll open in the states before taiwan though.
