cafe lumiere. a new film by hou hsiao-hsien has been released in japan. this film is a tribute to the japanese director yasujiro ozu and marks the first time hou has shot a film in a foreign country in a foreign language. it looks to be really good. i haven't heard when/if it'll play here(taiwanese aren't exactly known for supporting local arthouse cinema). via jeansnow.net.
