bloghorrea states:

Sifters are bloggers who could be considered "professional" if not for their time wasting scouring of the web for new and unusual tidbits of cyberflotsam of interest to just about anybody. It's polite to cite your source when stealing links from them, but I usually don't.

they list a lot of blogs i read regularly, but sifter seems like a bit too derogotory a term for these kinds of blogs. i kind of like cultural scavenger myself, but that doesn't seem to quite do them justice either. regardless, it's just plain rude not to site your sources when you've found the link on someone else's blog. via j-walk.
