today the mailman brought me the mischievous art of jim flora. a gift from my parents(if my bday presents continue to trickle in like this, it's going to be gifts from now until after xmas - not that i'm complaining). the book is wonderful - packed with gorgeous illustrations. i haven't had the chance to read much of the text yet. quite a bit of this you can find on the jim flora website, but for my money nothing beats the tactile experience of being able to hold a book in your hand and look and touch the pictures.
