apparently june 1st 2005 is world photo day. i like the idea behind this - of people taking pictures around the world on a single day. but there are things that i don't like about it. one being that it's a 24 hour period based on gmt time, not on the actual day it is on different parts of the planet. and that all pictures have to be submitted within 24 hours directly after that day. doesn't give much time for scanning and developing if you are using real film. typically it takes 24 hours for me to get scans back of any of my 120 rolls, so that means if i want to shoot i'd need to shoot on 35mm. still, even with these drawbacks i'm considering participating.
