my sister recently hooked me on audioscrobbler. i know i've read about this before, but never really paid much attention to it. basically it's a way to keep track of what you play on your media player - sort of a chart for yourself. it also is supposed to give you suggestions for bands you might like based on what you listen to, but so far i haven't gotten any reccomendations(i think they are having some technical issues lately). still i'll be curious to see what songs/bands end up being the ones i listen to the most over the next couple of months. there's a link on the right side bar for anyone that's curious to see what i've been listening to lately.

in other music/art related news, it looks like charles wilp has died. :( i really love the two albums by him i have, well one is a remix but still. via sound-scavengers list.
