sebastian at pcl linkdump passed me this literary meme that has been circulating. i don't often follow up on these sort of things, but in this case i can't resist.
You’re stuck inside Fahrenheit 451; which book do you want to be?
lafcadio, the lion who shot back by shel silverstein. one of my favourite children's books.
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
no, not really. on tv characters yes, book characters no.
What are you currently reading?
bubblegum music is the naked truth - about bubblegum pop music. most of it is quite fascinating so far, but other sections have left quite a bit to be desired.
the human factor by graham greene. picked it up at a thrift store awhile back. i'm enjoying it so far.
The last book you bought is:
demian by hermann hesse. at a thrift store.
also recently arrived (bought through lulu.com):
rangefinder photography
the abandoned photo museum guide book
The last book you read is:
maurice by e.m. forster
Five books you would take to a desert island:
well, i'm going to cheat a little and just list five authors. knowing me, i probably couldn't decide on which books until i was about to get on the boat.
j.d. salinger(but not catcher in the rye, as i've never understood why that book gets such raves - i much prefer his other works.)
franz kafka
hermann hesse
david sedaris
sue townsend or maybe something by shel silverstein. one of those decisions i'd probably leave to the last minute.
Who are you going to pass this stick to, and why?
ted, megg, and brent because i'm sure their answers will be interesting to say the least. so the ball is in your court guys, so get to it!
