it looks like typhoon haitang is headed for taiwan, so tomorrow we'll have a typhoon day - which means no work! most typhoons hit the southern part of the island first so by the time it reaches us up north it doesn't do a whole lot. but this one should hit the north first. it's also apparently the biggest typhoon to hit the island in 5 years. this'll be the first typhoon we've experienced since moving to the new apartment, so we'll see if things are much different here. since i have tomorrow off, i'll probably spend it reading the new harry potter book and vegetating in front of the tv.
