today is an anniversary of sorts. on this day in 1997 i first stepped foot in taiwan(and asia for that matter). i've for the most part spent the time since then living here in taipei. it's a scary thought because i think at this point i may have lived in taipei longer than i had my own apartments in seattle. when i think about what my life was like before coming here and the things i've seen and done since then - i'm pretty amazed. i never dreamed i'd really be able to see half the places i have. of the people i came over with back in '97 i wonder if any are still here? somehow i doubt it - at least of the people i knew well.
