why is it that when i'm supposed to be saving money i end up spending more? today i took the plunge and bought the lomo lubitel 166 camera. i'd been eyeing it in the window of this one camera shop for quite awhile and today i couldn't resist any longer and took the plunge. i thought the one in the window was the only one they had but the boss told me he'd bought up a bunch before they went out of production or something. and if i understood him correctly he also told me he'd used one for 10 years. eventhough it's made of plastic it feels like a real camera next to my holga and diana. to have a real range of f-stops and shutter speeds - i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do with those anymore. as i don't have a light meter i'll either have to buy one or commit to memory the sunny 16 rule or perhaps both.
