today is dragon boat festival. peter and i went to bi tan to see the dragon boat races, only to find there were no races there this year. i'm starting to wonder if they only hold races there every two years, since we saw the races last year, but this year no races, and two years ago there were no races as well.*

since there were no races we just walked around bi tan a little and then came home. peter's brother had bought time crisis 2 for ps2, so we spent the afternoon randomly shooting people.


*i've since learned the races in the greater taipei area were cancelled due to sars, but still took place on other parts of the island.
