one of the films playing at the film festival i posted about yesterday is jan svankmajer's conspirators of pleasure. when this played in taipei for the first time in '97 or '98 it sold out in something like 15 minutes largely due to the fact that the chinese translation has the word orgasm in it(if i remember correctly). i'm not sure if it's going to sell out quite so quickly this time.

they are also showing his latest feature little otik which i've been wanting to see for a long time. hopefully i'll be able to get tickets for these before they sell out. recently, i've stupidly agreed to teach a lot of afternoon classes, which means my time is much more limited for doing important things like seeing jan svankmajer films.
