well, it looks like i've been roped into going to the company christmas party on saturday. one of the teachers i work with will be leaving taiwan shortly, so this will be the last time i have a chance to see him. it looks like the school has rented out some disco for the event, staff gets to go free. if you are a student tickets are expensive. 500 nt(about 15 u.s.) in advance or 1000 nt( 30 u.s.) at the door. if i was paying that much money, i'd expect the place to be out of this world. somehow i doubt it will be so wonderful. i'm wondering what the music will be like? i suspect it will be bad techno music that was out of fashion ten years ago or wailing bimbos like mariah carey.
