yesterday i came home to see the guts of my computer all over our bed. my motherboard died! luckily peter had one to replace it with temporarily(and the warranty on my old one is still good), so i at least have internet access and a computer that works to access it with.

the pictures on the blog seem to be coming and going. right now they are visible, but i'm not sure if that means whatever problem the server had has been resolved, or if tomorrow i'll wake up and they'll be gone again. it's rather fruststrating.

but not all is bad news, as i managed to burn my first dvd. various films from the prelinger archives:

i'm loving all these great films available from the prelinger archives. earlier i had blogged that i thought are you popular? might be the film that was used in one of my favourite cult films, whatever happened to susan jane? it's not, however, the outsider is. century 21 was shot at the 1962 world's fair in seattle. i wasn't alive then, but some of the things they show, remained after the fair, so i have fond memories of them. one thing they show is the exterior to an exhibit called "peep" or "peep show". i wonder if this was the adult puppet show that sid and marty krofft performed at this fair? i would love to see footage from that show if it exists.
